The bible teaches that God has a special heart for children without parents, also known as orphans. James 1:27 says, “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”

When children are removed temporarily from their home due to a CPS investigation, in the meantime, these children have to be placed somewhere. That’s where a safe home comes into play. Not everyone can serve as a foster or adoptive parent, but everyone can do something.

There are many ways you can get involved. Whether you provide a bed for a kinship placement, sign up to babysit, provide respite, become a foster parent, or even adoption, we can all do something.
