What We Believe

We at Growing Faith believe in ONE God, Who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  (I John 5:7)  We believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior of all men and women who repent of their sin, and put their faith in Him.  We believe that those who receive new life in Christ are called to be holy in character and conduct, and can only live this way by being filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe in the Bible and seek to establish our faith and actions on its timeless teachings.  We believe God wills for people everywhere to know Him and that the purpose of the ministry is to tell the world about Christ through practical teaching, biblical council and creative evangelism.

We believe in the ENTIRE Word of God, and that all human experiences are addressed either directly through clear instruction or by principles that can be discovered through study and research.  Sadly, we identify that much of the hardships of the human experience occur due to a lack of knowledge of God’s Word and truths. Regardless of what is contained in the scriptures, it is powerless without practical application.  (Hosea 4:6; James 1:22-23)

We concede that the ancient holy writings were canonized, recorded, produced and distributed by men. However it is our unwavering conviction that the Word IS God-Breathed; directly inspired by God Himself.  Men were used like ghostwriters, carefully capturing the words, temperament and heart of THE AUTHOR (II Timothy 3:16).  It was all part of God’s divine plan, which even today is not uncommon for a ‘Holy God to use an imperfect people to accomplish His perfect work.’

We maintain that God has not changed His mind; His way is perfect and His judgment true.  We are not moved by popular opinion concerning truths already established in the Word. The world system is ever shifting, and the standards of morality are often skewed, based on majority rule and the opinion of men, fallible and untrustworthy.   The Word of God is the only stable foundation on which our lives must be carefully and intentionally constructed.  (Jeremiah 17:5-7; Proverbs 14:12; Matthew 7:24)
